Driving on the highway underneath the sky Could have said a lot before she lost her mind Watch the signs passing by And she didn’t have the chance to explain No she never had the chance to explain Turnaround the race is run Up ahead the best is yet to come ooooooooh Running from the city like a war-torn bride Only took the money left the clothes behind All her pride set aside And she didn’t have the chance to explain No she never had the chance to explain Turnaround the race is run Up ahead the best is yet to come oooooooo Turnaround the race is run Up ahead the best is yet to come Oooooooo Could have said a lot before she lost her mind

Sunlight, younglight Steal this sleepless night Waiting for my tolling clock To release the bright Strike three, strike four Feet sneak on cold floor Like a ghost I float Wishing I could soar Instrumental I don't want this eternity I want the sun to shine through me Shine Shine Shine Shine Shine Shine Shine Oooo la la la

Walking beside you in pale yellow gold Light that shines through the air And into our soul It was a long grey snow The green was buried long ago Under ground Buried under ground Walking beside you in pale yellow gold Light that shines through the air And into our soul I’ve been inclined to find peace of mind In ways that disappear the days So down Holding me down Walking beside you in pale yellow gold Light that shines through the air And into our soul Scratch this blackness, unclench my fist Risk illness, risk it all To be found Risk it all to be found Walking beside you in pale yellow gold Light that shines through the air And into our soul

Windy Day 03:33
Rivers flow in blues and grays I come here on Windy days Windy Day Windy Day Dried up dripping hanging thoughts Clinging to the shells and rocks Windy Day Windy Day (Lead in) Clouds cast cross the moon As my spine curls in my pillow It is not a poem and I don’t have a window I don’t have a window to see (Instrumental Verse) Clouds cast cross the moon As my spine curls in my pillow It is not a poem and I don’t have a window I don’t have a window to see (Outro on verse)

At one time she was very pretty Took her lovers above the city Now that's changed she wants your soul All your money, absolute control Chorus: Shield your eyes from her lies and whatever you do little boy Don't come inside come inside come inside She got her start eating boys like you They go down hard like swallowing stones She does what she wants to do She does what reminds her of home Chorus: Shield your eyes from her lies and whatever you do little boy Don't come inside come inside come inside When the bitch is coming at you and all her snakes are shining bright like cutlasses cut her off at the head Or you’ll become petrified living dead Chorus: Shield your eyes from her lies and whatever you do little boy Don't come inside come inside come inside Outro

about

Waiting for My Clock EP was recorded in seven sessions between 2016 and 2018 at Sparta studios with Rich Mattson. It's the first release from these sessions, with four future releases planned.

Waiting for My Clock is for those who are searching for a flight away or a mystery. It is for insomniacs and anyone just wanting something different. It is also for fans of classic Psychadelic era music like Pink Floyd and The Doors or reverb-heavy acts like Dead Meadow, Low and Portishead.

It draws on a full backing band in the studio: Rich Mattson, Ross Steinberg and Derek Rolando.
